Pineapple Thief - Far And Wide

Pineapple Thief Far And Wide LP

On their 16th studio album, Far And Wide, The Pineapple Thief sounds more like a rock band than ever before. Still progressive. Still masters at creating shiver-inducing atmospheres. Still attentive to the strange and troubled world around us.

Now, a decade and seven albums after Gavin Harrison joined as drummer, the band encapsulates the chemistry, the many miles on the road, and the larger stages that have characterized recent years. One can feel the immediate energy in the songs.

From the gloomy tones of the opening track "New World Order" the music hits hard – with plenty of bite and distinctive, dark nuances, without sacrificing the subtle turns and the ease that comes so naturally to the band. In short, rock songs with both class and nuance.

Far And Wide is about what we have in common. An abstract collection of feelings about the state of the world, touching on universal human experiences in ways that perhaps only music can.
