“Nashville Skyline” is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, originally released in 1969. The album showcases Dylan’s complete immersion into country music, building on the rustic style he experimented with on “John Wesley Harding” (1967). With its basic lyrical themes, simple songwriting structures, and charming domestic feel, the album introduced audiences to Dylan’s radically new singing voice – a soft, affected country croon – which he achieved by temporarily quitting smoking.
