Mick Flannery Red To Blue
Born in 1983, Mick Flannery is an Irish singer-songwriter who grew up in Blarney, County Cork. He was introduced to folk and blues music at a young age by his mother, a singer-songwriter herself. Influenced by a diverse mix of artists like Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and Nirvana, Flannery began writing his own songs in his teens.
'White Lies' is Flannery's second studio album, released in 2008. The album achieved a top ten position on the Irish Albums Chart and featured prominently on national radio stations. 'Red to Blue,' his third album, was released in 2012. The recording process involved C.S.L. Parker, the Vanbrugh string quartet, and a brass section led by Paul Dunlea. Once completed, the tracks were mixed and mastered by Ryan Freeland, who has previously worked with artists like Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann, Joe Henry, and many more.
