Pink Floyd Live In England, May 1969 (Picture Disc)

This release showcases two stellar live performances by Pink Floyd, during their The Man and The Journey Tour of 1969.

The opening side features the band’s concert at the University of Southampton, on 9 May. The second side features Floyd’s legendary BBC live session recorded at the Paris Theatre, in London, on 12 May.

The Man and The Journey Tour was an informal concert tour by Pink Floyd during which the conceptual music piece The Man and The Journey was played. The suite of music consisted of several of their early songs, some unreleased songs, and material later included on More and Ummagumma.

Featured here are stunning renditions of early Floyd classics such as Astronomy Domine, Interstellar Overdrive, Careful with That Axe, Eugene, Cymbaline and more.
