This quintessential LP edition presents Ray Charles' sensational fifth studio album, What'd I Say, originally released by Atlantic in October 1959 and long unavailable on vinyl. The album includes singles dating back to 1952, during Charles' most inspired years, with all of the material produced by the legendary duo Ahmet Ertegün and Jerry Wexler.

These recordings, many of which were written by Charles himself, feature a virtual who's who of fabulous musicians from the New York City scene, such as David "Fathead" Newman (tenor and alto saxophone), Bennie "Hank" Crawford (baritone saxophone), Joe Bridgewater or Marcus Belgrave (trumpet), Edgar Willis (bass), and The Raelettes on backing vocals. Get your copy of this classic album on vinyl, available online at and in-store at Zhivago Gifts in Galway.
